She was the proud mother of Susanne (Paul), and cherished grandmother of Katrina (Kyle). She will be fondly remembered by her cousins, nephews, and niece in Denmark.
Grethe Andersen was born in Denmark and came to Canada with her late husband, Leif, and their daughter, Susanne, in 1957; where she worked as a bookkeeper for Herman Kassinger Construction for 30 years. She was an old school European woman; she was devoted to taking care of her husband and child. She loved making Danish food, her favourite being Frikadeller; delicious Danish meatballs. When Leif passed, she turned her focus to being a proud member of the 420 Wing Oshawa, she loved the people there dearly.
Susanne and her family wish to send a warm thanks to AgeCare Samac for the kind care and compassion they showed Grethe
Grethe will be cremated and a private family interment will take place in Guelph, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers that family kindly requests donations be made in Grethe’s memory to The Seeing Eye Organization and Parkinsons Canada.
