GROENEVELD, Paul Engelburtus “Ryk” Groeneveld

Peacefully, at Strathaven Bowmanville on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, with his devoted wife of 57 years June by his side. Paul Engelburtus was called home by his Lord and Saviour. Loving dad of Joy (Eric) and Amy (Jared). Treasured Opa of Alex (Melissa), Beth (Nathan), Jay (William), Silas, Ella, Gideon and great-grandchildren Ellie, Theo, Annie, Maks and Fidds. Dear brother of Maria (late Peter), Everett (Toby) and Gary (Colleen). Ryk will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and friends. A special thank you to the staff at Glen Hill Strathaven, doctors, nurses and specialists for their care and dedication over the many years. A funeral service will be held at Ritson Road Alliance Church (605 Ritson Rd. N, Oshawa) on Monday May 25, 2026 at 1 pm. There will be an hour of visitation prior to service from 12 – 1 pm. Donations in memory of Ryk can be made to Ritson Rd Alliance Church, Life Outreach, Kidney Foundation of Ontario or charity of your choice.
