With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Antoinette Guido. Antoinette was called by God on Monday, April 27, 2026, and passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital after a long struggle with multiple system atrophy (MSA). She was the beloved wife of Andrew, loving mother of the late Daniel, Mathew (Giovanni), and Cristina (Derek), and adored nonna to Adrian. Antoinette was also a devoted sister to Pat (the late Bruno) and her nephew Christopher, and cherished daughter of Maria (the late Silvio).

Born on December 20, 1959, in Tollo, Abruzzo, Italy, Antoinette immigrated to Canada with her family in the summer of 1966. She attended St. Roch Catholic School, then G.B. Warren Junior High School for grade 9, and later Emery Collegiate Institute, where she graduated in grade 12. It was during her time at Emery that she met her future husband, Andrew, who pursued her with unwavering devotion.

After high school, Antoinette followed her passion for helping children by studying Early Childhood Education (ECE) at Humber College. With the birth of Daniel, Mathew, and Cristina, raising them at home became her life’s greatest joy. She was immensely proud as she watched them grow and pursue their own dreams.

Antoinette cherished a close circle of friends who brought immense joy into her life. Everyone who knew her was touched by her radiant spirit and deep spiritual connection. She believed strongly in the afterlife and never gave up searching for ways to communicate with her beloved Daniel.

Her relationship with her sister Pat was especially precious, forever seeing Pat as her little sister. The birth of her grandson, Adrian, three years ago, brought light, laughter, and tears of joy back into her life.

Despite facing severe health challenges over the past four years, Antoinette met each day with courage and grace, never complaining or questioning why. Her faith in God and His plan for her remained steadfast until her final moments. Antoinette’s legacy is one of strength, kindness, and unwavering commitment to her family and friends.
