GUILMETTE, Dorothy Marie Guilmette

Passed away on August 9, 2026, at the age of 78. She will be remembered with deep respect and lasting affection by those who knew her. Dorothy’s presence was marked by a steady warmth and a gracious way of drawing people together, whether through conversation, shared time, or the simple comfort of familiar company.

Dorothy Marie Guilmette found joy in music, in socializing, and in cottage life—interests that reflected her appreciation for connection, ease, and the everyday moments that become cherished memories.

Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Amanda, and Amanda’s husband, Jody. She is also remembered by a loved friend, Kennedy. Dorothy was the sister of Theresa; Eddie and his wife, Laurie; Sarah; and Sheila, and was predeceased by Mike and Sylvia.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King St. W., Oshawa from 4-8 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Whitby.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
