Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering Hospital on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Aurel Guitard and daughter Rose. Loving mother of Marilyn (Mike), Deborah (Bill), Diane (Jeff), Rob (Jen), and family member Shannon.
Cherished Nanny of Selena, Katie, Shawn, Bradley, Jeremy, Hannah, Shane, Colin, Shelby, Kara, and Great Nanny to 12 great-grandchildren. She was admired and cherished by so many more. Bernice will be dearly missed by all her nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Bay Ridges Long Term Care Team and to the Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering Hospital Care Team for their care and compassion.
Visitation will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West, on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. A reception will follow.
