Gunda Anderson, a longtime resident of Whitby, Ontario, passed away at Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital on September 26, 2026. She was born in Hamburg, Germany, on May 5, 1936.
Gunda was the wife of the late Malcolm A. Anderson. She is remembered by her half-sister, Ute; nieces and nephews; extended family; and close friends.
For more than three decades, Gunda volunteered in her community, particularly through the Whitby Senior Activity Centre. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crosswords, Scrabble, dominoes, jazz, and instrumental music.
A celebration of life will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home on October 5, followed by interment at Groveside Cemetery in Whitby.
