Guy Stromsten Obituary

Guy Stromsten passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, surrounded by family and prayer. He was born in Langley, British Columbia, on March 6, 1960.

Guy was known as a kind, gentle, forgiving, and generous man. His children and grandchildren were at the centre of his life, and time spent with them brought him his greatest joy.

He loved adventure and the outdoors. Fishing, dirt biking, dancing, flying planes, and racing his 1967 Mercury Cougar were among his favourite pursuits. Guy also formed many lasting friendships during a 35-year career at the grain elevator and through the racing and dirt-biking communities.

Guy is survived by his former wife, Arlene, with whom he shared 35 years; children Jessica (Wade) and Matt (Erin); stepchildren Amber (Karl) and Corey (Christie); grandchildren Mallory, Noel, Kipton, Lawson, Hazel, Edwin, Beau, Laurence, Lucy, and Colter; his mother, Wilma; and siblings Terry, Laurie, Rudy, and Carmen. He is also remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Laurence.

The family also expresses its gratitude to Pastor John Tucker for the spiritual support, prayer, and comfort he provided during the final eight months of Guy’s life.

Celebration of Life

A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the family property in South Langley. Further details will be announced by the family.
