The family announces with sorrow her passing on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the Golden Manor at the age of 99 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Czeslaw Dutkiewicz (1995) and her daughter Monica Dutkiewicz (1953).
She will be dearly missed by her two sons, Chester Eric (Mercy) Dutkiewicz, and John (Nicole) Dutkiewicz; her grandchildren Dale (Shawnee) Dutkiewicz, Myra (Shawn) Chabot, and Lindsay (Jason) Dutkiewicz-Saddler, as well as her great-grandchildren Cameron, Nathan, Evan, Nolan, and R.J.
Gertrude was loved by everyone who knew her. Affectionately known as Oma, she was an exceptional mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed. May she rest in peace.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Lasalle Residence, Timmins and District Hospital, Golden Manor, Dr. Malo, Dr. Auger and all who cared for her for all of their care and compassion.
Respecting her wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre. Remembrance donations made to Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated.
