Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on June 22, 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Jim Hambly. Cherished mother of Cheryl (the late Skip), Kimberly (Patrice), Michael (Matthew), and Mark (Trudy). Proud grandmother of Ashley (Douglas), Keaton, Kailan (Dave), Chad (Amanda), Cody (Courtney), Quinn (Marco), Zaina, and Zander. Helen is also survived by seven adored great-grandchildren.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Carol (Bob) and fondly remembered by her daughter Jody and grandson Brando (Sarah). Predeceased by her brother Ted (Shirley), and sisters Marian (Harry) and Shirley (Sam).

Helen was known for her kindness, sharp wit, and generous heart. A lifelong supporter of her community, she was always ready to lend a hand or offer encouragement. Her greatest joys came from her deep love for family and her unwavering faith.

She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—knitting, hummingbirds, tending to her garden, and having her hair done. She especially treasured time spent traveling with friends, whether cruising the seas or exploring Europe. Helen also delighted in dinners out and evenings at the theatre.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
