HAMILTON, Barbara Ann Hamilton

It is with extremely heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Barbara Ann Hamilton at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday, February 12, 2026 with her loving family at her side.

Barb will be incredibly missed by her adoring husband of 66 years, Jim Hamilton, her Son Scott (Lori) Daughter Cheryl (Keith), Grandsons Jesse (Tammy), Jeffrey (Cassie), Graham (Theresa) and Great Grandsons Jasper and Robert.

She was the loved and devoted Sister of Donald Blacktopp (predeceased) (Sharon), Bruce Blacktopp (Gail-predeceased), Diane Akaye (Bobby) (both predeceased), Carol Handrahan (Leonard) (both predeceased) and Gary (Butch) Blacktopp (predeceased) (Linda). She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews and her good friends at Wilmot Creek, far too many to mention.

Barb had a very active life, always on an adventure with family or her friends at Wilmot Creek where she and Jim resided for 33 years. Other than her family, Barb had many great accomplishments that she was very proud of, achieving a hole-in-one on the 3rd hole of the Wilmot Creek golf course and zip-lining in Niagara Falls with her daughter at 80 years young.
