HAMMOND, David Craig Hammond

Passed peacefully at Kensington Hospice in Toronto after a long, brave battle with cancer. Thank you to all his caregivers at Princess Margaret Hospital and Hospice for their kind and expert care.

Dave was a kind and generous friend to all, willing to help anyone in need. He loved spending time with friends, listening to live music and vacationing at Blue Mountain with his family. He was a gifted athlete and played tennis at college in the United States. He had a long career in finance and accounting, still helping his clients until the very end.

David was the cherished son of James William Hammond and Anna Dowell Hammond (2021); beloved husband of Miki Hoshina, and dear father to Tyler (Mother Desiree Page Ashworth), Keegan (Mother Beverly Rutledge) and Kye (Miki Hoshina). He was younger brother of Lynda, Jim (1988, Karen) and Susan (Jim) and grandpa to Avery and Carter (Tyler and Lindsey).

His nieces and nephews remember him with love: Phil (Ellie), Anna(Aaron), Dave (Danielle), Katie(Joel), Meghana (Anton) and Kavi (Sophia).

The funeral service is Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 11:30 am at St. George Grange Park, 30 Stephanie Street, Toronto. Gathering of family and friends to follow in the Church’s Fellowship Hall.
