Born in Woodstock June 3, 1937, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026. She fought courageously during her final days, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.
Joyce Elaine Hanson leaves behind a large and loving family who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her children, Stephen Hanson of Milldale Proper, Carolyn Stickles (Wayne Stickles) of Norwich, Heather Hanson-Couch (Al Couch) of Ingersoll and Stuart Hanson (Pam de Montmorency) of South Bookton.
She is the cherished grandmother of Grant (Inna), Kylie (Adam), Leslie (Brad), Travis (Alex), Sarah (Dan), Kyle, Neil (Ronnie), Alison (Spencer), Kayla, Allysha (Nick), Kelsey (Tom) and Rebecca (Scott) and the proud great-grandmother of Eliana, Lara, Paityn, Stella, Sloane, William, Paisley, Kendra, Alana, Ryland and Aida. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
She has been reunited with those who passed before her. She was predeceased by her beloved husband William (Bill) Hanson and her parents Stanley and Grace Foster.
Joyce will be remembered as the anchor of our family, who filled our lives with endless warmth, joy, and a legacy of resilience that will live on forever in our hearts.
Friends and family will be received at the Arn-Lockie Funeral Home, 45 Main Street West, Norwich, ON, on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 10:00 am at the Otterville United Church, 231 Main Street East, Otterville, ON. Interment to take place after the service at the Otterville Cemetery, Otterville, ON.
