In Loving Memory of Laurie Wallace β€œHarrie” Harrison

Surrounded by his loved ones, Laurie Wallace β€œHarrie” Harrison passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7th , 2026 in his 72nd year.

Laurie will be dearly missed by many friends and cousins from Courtice to Haliburton, Ontario.

Well known in the Clarington community, Laurie worked as a plumber first for his father at Harrison and Son, then for many years at New Way Plumbing until his retirement in 2017. Laurie was a man of many hobbies and talents. A renowned hunter, he will be sorely missed at the hunting camp every November. Laurie was an excellent cook and grew a great vegetable garden. He could build anything and he could fix anything. Laurie loved his dogs and is now reunited with Brownie, Cleo and Hunter. Above all, he was the best dad, husband and β€œpapa”.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date for friends and family to reminisce on happy times.

Laurie had several oft-quoted phrases he kept in his back pocket, so his family would like to leave you with this:

β€œThough I walk through the valley in the shadow of death, I fear no evil. Because I’m the meanest sonuvabitch in the valley”.

Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Sick Kids Foundation would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged through the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., P.O. Box 427, Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0.
