It is with great love and sadness that we announce the loss of Helen Zentner, who passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026, at the age of 92.
Helen was born in Jarvie, Alberta, the third of seven children. She later moved to Cranbrook, British Columbia, where she welcomed her only child, Judy.
She spent many years in Sundre, Alberta, where she raised Judy. Later in life, she returned to school to become a bookkeeper, a career she went on to enjoy for many years.
Helen eventually moved to Kelowna, where she met her second husband, Chris Zentner. Together, Helen and Chris shared many happy years. They enjoyed remodeling houses, travelling, and spending time in the garden. Helen was also an active volunteer with the Catholic Women’s League, generously giving her time to her church and community.
Helen was predeceased by her husband, Chris Zentner, and her beloved daughter, Judy Wardrope.
She will be lovingly remembered by her many extended family members and friends.
Helen lived a long and full life, marked by hard work, independence, family, and the many friendships she made along the way. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by those who knew and loved her.
Prior to the service, a viewing will take place at the church from 12:00 – 1:00 pm for those who would like to pay their last respects.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM, located at Immaculate Conception Church, 839 Sutherland Ave, Kelowna, BC.
