HENDERSON, Curtis Mark Henderson

Born in Long Beach, California on March 10, 1960, Curtis Henderson passed away unexpectedly on November 30, 2025, at the age of 65.

Curt grew up moving between California, Australia, and British Columbia, learning early how to feel at home wherever the land opened itself to him. He spent more than thirty years working as a sheet metal mechanic with Kelowna Flightcraft, a trade he carried with quiet pride and a steady hand.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Brenda Wendell; stepchildren Geoff and daughter-in-lawΒ Meghann, Chris Wendell and daughter-in-lawΒ Shani, and Lisa Matheson and son-in-lawΒ Bob. He leaves grandchildren Josh, Liam, Ainsley, Lochlann, Ayla, Mira, Lewis, William, and Abbey. He is also survived by his brother Brian. Curt was predeceased by his parents and a brother.

Curt was a man who found his place outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, snowmobiling/quadding, and travelling with Brenda across North America. At home in the Okanagan Centre community, he was known for simple kindnesses, long walks with the dogs along the trails, and the easy way he connected with neighbours and friends. His spiritual life ran deep and quiet, like a stream that keeps its own rhythm beneath the surface.

He will be missed by his family, his friends, and all who shared the trail with him. A Celebration of Life will take place in the spring of 2026.
