It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the peaceful passing of Eunice Magdalena Hendrickse (née Franco), beloved mother, grandmother, and GG MA, on May 3, 2025, at the United Mennonite Home in Vineland.
Born on August 28, 1931, in Cape Town, South Africa, Eunice was predeceased by her devoted husband Wesley (January 30, 2024), with whom she shared 70 beautiful years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her parents Augustus and Christina Franco, her sister Valerie, and brother Augustus Jr., making her the last surviving member of her generation.
Eunice’s heart was full when surrounded by her family. She was the loving mother of Michael (Jane) and Cheryl (Mark). She was a cherished grandmother to Michael (Leahann), Daniel (Marika), Joshua, John (Lindsay), and Luke, and the proud great-grandmother to Alexis, Paul, Audrey, Marcus, and Raeya.
Her loving spirit, warmth, and presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate care team at the United Mennonite Home in Vineland for their support.
A private celebration of Eunice’s life will be held with her immediate family.
