Hendrika “Rita” Monahan passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026. She was born on October 19, 1937.
Rita enjoyed golfing, shuffleboard, board games, needlepoint, crocheting, travel, and the winters she spent in Yuma with her husband, Ivor. Her family remained at the centre of her life.
She is remembered by her children Wendy and Kelly and their families; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Ivor Monahan, her brother Phillip, and her sister Dorothy.
A graveside service will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.
