It is with great sadness that the family of Jay Frank Henry, 64 years old, of Toronto, Ontario, announce his sudden passing on Friday, June 27, 2025. He had been living in Georgina, Ontario for the past few years before his passing.

Jay was born on November 5th, 1960, in Toronto, Ontario at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was the eldest child of Alan “Hank” Frank Henry and Bonnie (Horlock) MacDonald. He grew up in Parkdale and attended Queen Elizabeth Public School, Parkdale P.S., and Parkdale Collegiate.

Jay’s fondest memories were growing up in Parkdale. He loved playing sports such as hockey, lacrosse, and football, and especially excelled as a goalie on AAA Hockey teams. He was known for his great sense of humour and the gift of gab.

Jay is survived by his son Jesse (Lauren) and grandchildren Mason and Rome. He will be forever remembered and loved by his sister Alicia (Lisa) Mae Henry (Bernie), and his longtime partner Chachi Teixeria. He is also survived by his stepmother Diane Henry, nieces and nephews Madeleine, Alan, Jacob, Tyler, and Mekailah, and great-nieces and nephews Mackenzie, Scarlett, Mason, and Kacey. Jay will also be missed by many friends he made over the years.

He was predeceased by his father Alan Frank Henry, brother D’Arcy Alan Henry, mother Bonnie (Horlock) MacDonald, and grandparents Thelma and Frank Henry.

There will be no funeral service. Jay’s final resting place will be at Briar Hill Cemetery, 5500 Black River Road, Sutton, Ontario, L0E 1L0.
