HICKLING, Garett Hickling

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Garett Deane Hickling. He was a cherished son, brother, uncle, great uncle, an extreme Wheelchair Rugby player and friend to all he met.
Garett was born in Mica Creek, B.C. on September 18th, 1970 to Donna and John Hickling. He unexpectedly passed away on June 20th, 2025 in Toronto, Ontario.
Garett brought light and laughter to those around him with unique spirit and unwavering kindness. He was predeceased by his mom (Donna), brother (Donnie) and nephew in-law (Jasper).
Garett touched the lives of many with his warmth, strength, gentle charm, and kindness. He leaves behind a family who will cherish his life, always. He is survived by his dad John Hickling (Carolyn), his sisters Jeri-Lynne Hickling and Tobi Byrne (Greg), and uncle to nieces Montana Cardoso (Matthew) and Ariel Anderson (JJ and Riviara).
Garett, “G” is fondly remembered by his Wheelchair Rugby family and his friends.
A memorial service will be held for Garett later this summer in Vernon, B.C.
