It is with saddened hearts and much love that we share the loss of Hildred Hilma Kuiack (Ronholm). She was born in Whitney, ON, on June 12, 1937, to John and Lillian Ronholm and passed on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Basil Kuiack (2023). She was a cherished and devoted mother of Liz (2019) (Jeff) Kelly, Dan Rose (Larry) Kreviazuk, Carol (Joel) Hackett, Diane (Chris) Moore, Christine White and Brian (Tanya). Her many grandchildren (15) and great grandchildren (11) always warmed her heart and put the biggest smile on her face whenever they were with her. Survived by her brother-in-law Pat Kuiack. Predeceased by her parents and family members Pat (Marie) Ronholm, Florian (Mary) Kuiack, Florence (Paul) Sowinski, August (Juanita) Kuiack, sister Marianne (Goretti), granddaughter Denise White, and great granddaughter Scarlet Kelly. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her absolute joy was always getting together with her family whether it was Sunday breakfast, dinner, game night, or doing puzzles. Her one passion was reading and writing in her daily journal. She enjoyed travelling such as taking road trips with her family, cruises with her friends, and visiting other countries. She was a long-standing member of Sacred Heart Church, involved with the CWL, the choir, and social committee. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our hearts. We want to offer our profound thanks and gratitude to Dr. MacSweeney, Dr. Crombeen, and the entire nursing staff and team at St. Joseph’s hospice for the extraordinary care and compassion they showed our mom. Family and friends will be welcomed at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 1465 Lecaron Avenue, Sarnia, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice or to a charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home, please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
