HILLMAN, Ian Spencer Hillman

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday November 10, 2025, in the Palliative Care Unit at Oshawa Lakeridge Hospital. At his side were his sisters Trudie Dempster of London, Ontario and Denise Cecchetto (his longtime skating partner) and her husband Alex of Mississauga, as well as his brother Roy and wife Diane of Lindsay. Also present, offering her love and support was Kien Campbell, with whom Ian shared many happy times over the past eight years. Joining by electronic connection were his daughters Trisha and Niki and his great-granddaughter Sawyer. Their presence brought Ian immense joy, and he was visibly touched by their love. Ian was predeceased by his brother Alan (husband of Pat) who passed away in 2018. Ian will be remembered for his sharp wit, generous spirit and remarkable athletic ability. He excelled at every game he played – golf, cricket, tennis and billiards and was a tremendous dancer both on and off the ice. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, social workers and all staff of the Oshawa Lakeridge Palliative Care Unit for their compassionate support and exceptional care, which helped make Ian’s final journey peaceful and dignified.
