Donna Hines was an incredibly loving wife, mother, and dear friend to many. She left this world on June 6th 2025, but will remain in our hearts forever.

She was the daughter of Ilda and Donald McCormick, who welcomed her into the world on March 27th, 1957. She had many interests during her life, but dearest to her heart was the time she spent working in Standardbred horse racing. Donna’s love for animals was limitless – surpassed only by her love for her husband Mike and their children, Cheryl and Bradley.

Donna and Mike loved each other dearly, and made the absolute most of their lives together. In their twenties, they spent many nights entertaining friends and family, and in their thirties, they became the world’s most dedicated parents. Donna could not wait for her children to return home from school each day, and she gave them every ounce of love she possibly could.

There will be a Celebration of Life held for Donna on Saturday July 5th at Mangan Funeral Home, located at 332 Osborne St, Beaverton.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society in Donna’s honour – a charity founded in 1996 to assist in the adoption and relocation of retired and non-racing Standardbred horses within Ontario. More information about donating can be found at https://www.osas.ca/donations.
