HOOPER, Cathleen “Cathy” Edna Hooper

Passed away after a long illness, one that she faced with unwavering strength and determination. Cathy never gave up. She continued to fight, never losing her strong will, and remained resilient to the end.

Cathy was the devoted wife of Danny Hooper, a loving mother to Jason and Krista (Craig), and a grandmother to Zoe (Wyatt) and Ryenn. She was an especially fun-loving Grandma — where it was well known that there were “no rules at Grandma’s house.”

She was a beloved sister to Wayne (Darlene) and to her late brother Jerry, and a kind and thoughtful friend to many. Cathy was always gentle, polite, and kind to others.

Those who knew her will remember her great sense of humor and her silent laugh — a laugh that somehow filled an entire room.

Cathy had a deep love for animals and took special care in feeding and looking after every neighbourhood animal that wandered her way, as well as those she welcomed at the cottage. Deeply devoted to her family, she was an incredible role model of strength, resilience, and perseverance.

Cathy will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
