HORTENSIUS, Dirk Hortensius

Born on June 13, 1931, in Bandung, Indonesia, Dirk Hortensius went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2025, in Kelowna, BC.

Dirk is survived by his son, Peter (Gloria); daughter, Joanne (Kerry); and his two grandchildren, Dirk (Casey) and Peter.

Dirk is now reunited with his beloved Ann, who predeceased him in December 2021.

The family would like to thank Shelley, Mary, Liz, and Jessica who provided such great help in the last few years and also the nurses and staff at Kelowna General Hospital Ward 4A.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to World Vision Canada.

A Celebration of Life, will be held on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM (PST), in the FAMILY CENTRE at SPRINGFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. If you are unable to attend in person, please join the family online by Livestream at the time of the service, a recording will be made available to view in 3-5 days.
