It is with sad hearts, that we announce the peaceful passing of Ted Houghton at the age of 90.

Ted was recently predeceased by his wife, Marie, to whom he was married for 63 years. Loving father of Susan (Eric) Fay and Scott (Helen Marie) Houghton. Cherished grandfather of Bradley & Alyssa Houghton and Sarah & David Fay.He was predeceased by parents James Franklin and Mina Houghton as well as brothers Ralph Houghton, Allen Houghton and sister Gladys Bell.

Ted lived a life filled with a loving commitment to family. He nurtured a close circle of friends from childhood, to neighbours, work friends and Northern Eagle campers—providing comradery and a great sense of humour. He was a lover of travel and an avid fan of many sports including hockey, golf, curling and baseball. He had a dedicated and rewarding career in the elevator industry at Dover Elevators. Ted truly enjoyed life to the fullest –always up for a laugh and a fun adventure.

He will be missed by all who knew him and those whose lives he impacted. But we are comforted in the knowledge that Ted is now with Marie, the love of his life.
