We announce the death of Hugo Rudolph Hoemsen (Regina, Saskatchewan), who passed away on October 23, 2026, at the age of 95. Hugo will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Hugo will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Hugo will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Hugo’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Hoemsen and Maria Hoemsen; his children, Norman, Victor and Tryphena (Van Loosen); and his wife Dorothy.
He is survived by: his children, Heather Young (Raymond) and Peter (Patricia); and his son-in-law Greg Van Loosen (Theresa). He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his many nieces and nephews.
A reception will be held on Thursday, November 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Speers Family Centre (2333 Cornwall St, Regina, SK S4P2L4).
