HUNTER, Sheila Mae Hunter

She of Kincardine passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Huron Shores Hospice, Tiverton, in her 89th year.

Beloved mother of Deborah Lajoie (Kevin Wood) and dear Nana of Craig, Jennifer (Mike Caswell), and Blake.

Sheila Mae Hunter will be missed by her brother Robert Norman, sisters Isabel Craig and Mary Lou (George) Tout, and remembered by her sisters-in-law Patricia Leach, Jane Rothwell, and brother-in-law Bill Hunter.

Predeceased by her husband Robert “Bob”, son Terry Hunter, sister-in-law Vera Norman, and brother-in-law John Craig.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow at Davey-Linklater Funeral Home.

Private family interment in Kincardine Cemetery.
