It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Salvatore “Sam” Internicola, who passed away peacefully in Bowmanville at the age of 82.
Born in Vita, Sicily, Italy, Sam was the beloved son of the late Vito and the late Maria Internicola. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Tomassa Internicola (née Grutta).
Sam was a loving and devoted father to Vito (Corrinne) and Anthony. He was a cherished Nonno to Sal, Joe, Rosie (Andrew), Isabella, and Cecilia, and a proud Bisnonno to Nico and Noah. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Albert (Debbie) and Tony (Mary), as well as his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Sam will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His kindness, love for his family, and quiet strength will remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind. His passing leaves a profound emptiness, but his memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.
