It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Jacqueline “Jackie” Lucy Wilson announce her passing at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa at the age of 64.
Diagnosed with cancer in May, Jackie fought hard and never gave up, but sadly, complications from her treatment became too much. Rest now, Jackie. Your fight is over.
Jackie will be lovingly remembered by her partner, Doug; son, Matthew (Fatima); step-daughter, Stephanie; step-sons, James and Harlan; sisters, Christine (John) and Donna (Bruce); grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kylee, Kira, Maverick, Brooklyn, Camden and Hudson; along with her many nieces, nephews, extended family and countless friends.
Predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Cora Sparkes; sister, Iris Hayter (Fred); and brother, Darren Sparkes.
Jackie was one of a kind. Wherever she went, she brought laughter, energy and life with her. She was the life of the party, had a heart of gold, loved fiercely and always had time for the people she cared about. She had a way of making an impression—and a story—everywhere she went. Her laughter, her spirit and her larger-than-life personality will be missed more than words can say.
Cremation will take place as per Jackie’s wishes, with a Celebration of Life to be held on Sunday November 1, 2026 at 2 pm at Farmhill Weddings – 2709 Dillon Road, Peterborough.
