JAKUBIAK, Edward Lawrence Jakubiak

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Edward “Ed” Lawrence Jakubiak (“Jacobs”) on June 10, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.

Ed was predeceased by his beloved wife, Carolyn, whose memory remained a constant source of strength and love throughout his life. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Breda and Joseph, and his elder brother Joseph. He leaves behind three devoted children: Christie (Bernard), Noah (Valerie), Justin (Terri) and his cherished grandchildren, Addison and Max, who brought him endless joy.

He will be deeply missed by his loving sister Cindy and her family (Brian, Kelsey, Morgan, Devon, and Tori), as well as by his dedicated caregiver Fate, whose kindness and compassion brought comfort and dignity to his final years.

Ed faced every challenge in life with quiet strength and unwavering optimism. He never complained (not even once) about his illness or any challenge or complication. His resilience and positive spirit were a true inspiration to all who knew him.

Beyond his personal courage, Ed was also a gifted and highly respected businessman. Known for his sharp mind, tenacity, and remarkable work ethic, he approached life and business with a sense of purpose. Ed found an opportunity in every situation.

A celebration of life will be held in the Fall with details to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed’s memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, or to the Canadian Cancer Society in honour of Carolyn.
