Janina Miernik of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 92. She was born in Morsko, Poland, on February 13, 1934.
Janina is remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She and her late husband Franciszek made Calgary their home after coming to Canada in 1981.
A funeral Mass is scheduled for October 9, 2026, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Calgary, followed by interment at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
