Surrounded by the love of her family and in the comfort of her home, JoAnne passed away on September 4th 2026 at the age of 83. Loving wife of James Joseph Pautler. Proud mother of Andrea (Neil) Thornton and Glenn (Anna) Gifford and stepmother to Katie (David) Gray and James (Melissa) Pautler.
Proud grandmother of Elizabeth (Marek) Buko, Christian (Jessica) Gifford, Anna (Riley) Gauci, Lauren Gifford, Jacob (Yessina) Pautler and James Pautler Jr.
Adoring Great Grandmother to Roman and Anna Bukos and Peyton Gifford
Predeceased by parents Joseph and Grace Marinola and siblings Joseph and Michael Marinola.
JoAnne will be missed by her many family and friends. An avid Buffalo Bill’s fan, she always had hope and faith that this would finally be their year.
JoAnne will be remembered for her unwavering faith. She was a devout Catholic and continually role modelled her faith in her daily life.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday September 18th at 11 am at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Erie. Confessions will be heard at 10:30 a.m. A private interment to follow.
