He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Doherty (Vickers) and Wes Doherty; his wife Marcia; and his siblings, Florence Anderson, Harold Hindle, Ethelene Dinsmore, Lloyd Hindle, Doris Cox and Lorne Doherty.
He is survived by: his sons, John (Nicole) and James Doherty; his grandchildren, Jordyn and Madelyn Doherty; and his sister Marjorie Talbot. He is also survived by nephews, many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd E, Windsor, ON N8W1C7). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location.
