Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, John Randy Lugsdin passed away at the age of 54. He is the cherished husband and best friend of Mackenzie for 24 wonderful years and will be lovingly and forever remembered by his daughter Katie. Randy will be forever treasured by his mother Mary Ann Lugsdin and is now reunited with his father Barry Lugsdin (2023). He is the treasured brother of Tammy Lugsdin (Adam Stebbins) and Uncle to Aaron. Randy will be cherished and deeply missed by his two best friends Adam Stebbins and Eric Bailey.
Randy was the proud owner and operator of Four Star Painting. Hunting was Randy’s life and work was his hobby. He enjoyed cruising, fishing and camping in Lakewood Christian Campground with his friends Dennis, Angie, Mike and Allison. He was the president of the Lambton Bowhunters Association and enjoyed sharing his knowledge to anyone who would listen.
Randy will be fondly remembered for his love and support towards his family and friends, for the stories he shared and the laughter that we will always remember. He is welcomed into heaven with open arms by his dad who was his favourite hunting partner and knew all the best spots to enjoy what he loved the most. Please remember Randy when you are hunting or fishing and know that he will always be right there beside you.
The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to Dr. Kim and the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice for taking excellent care of Randy.
