JOHNSTON, Jim Johnston

Peacefully at his home, Clinton, on Friday February 27, 2026, Mr. James Frederick “Jim” Johnston of Clinton in his 76th year. Loving husband of the late Rosemary Anne (Corey) Johnston (July 26, 2025). Loved father of Rob Johnston & Stephanie of Inverhuron, and Jeff Johnston of Clinton. Loving grandfather of Nicole & Jesse, Tyler, and Kaleb. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Nancy Good, and Robert Corey & Sonya. Predeceased by his parents Gordon & Almedia (Pushelberg) Johnston. Jim was very devoted to his family. Jim was the Road Superintendent for Hullett Township for over 42 years, plowing snow and maintaining equipment. He could be found tinkering with anything mechanical, always making sure things were working properly. A diehard fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Toronto Blue Jays, Jim was always following the games. Jim and Rosemary enjoyed camping at the Old Homestead Campground and enjoyed many cruises as well. Jim is now resting in the arms of the love of his life, wife of 55 years Rosemary.

Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Falconer Funeral Homes, 153 High Street, Clinton, on Wednesday March 4, 2026, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A private family service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Huron Hospice Bender House or the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
