JONES, Grant William Jones
September 8, 1937 - November 20, 2025Passed away suddenly as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Beaverton. Beloved husband of Shirley for 62 years. Loving father to his children Sharyn (Don), Morgan (Tracy) and Mary (Randy). Cherished grandfather of Patrick, Kevin, Gracie, Lilly and Mitch. Grant was the oldest son of the late Alma and Lorne Jones and will be missed by his siblings Murray (Evelyn), Ronald (Donna) and Doreen (the late Herb).
Grant was a hardworking, kind-hearted man whose life was built on simple joys and honest work. He spent his career delivering ice cream and still had customers today. He also worked for the Kahn Brothers Brooklin for 17 years, picking up and delivering cattle. Grant and Shirley owned Balsam General Store and two antique stores, the latest was the Lorneville Antique Store. He also spent a lot of time at auction sales, known for his humor in helping the auctioneer. He was known as the skill saw sharpener and ax handle repair man. He was an avid milk bottle collector and always stayed busy. He would say there’s plenty of time to sleep when I am gone.
Grant had many social circles and enjoyed spending time with his friends. He loved his coffee nights out and breakfast places. He will be greatly missed by all.
Cremation has taken place and interment for immediate family will take place at a later date
