He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: William Besseling and Maria Besseling; wife: Alayne Besseling; children: David Besseling and Lisa Besseling (Marlon); sister: Théa Besseling; brothers and sisters-in-law: Don Shaughnessy (Margaret), James Shaughnessy (Helen), Stephen Shaughnessy, Karen Shaughnessy, Janet Tucker (Kevin) and Michael Shaughnessy (Carol); and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hendren Funeral Home (66 Queen St, Lakefield, ON K0L2H0).
