Passed away peacefully at Hyland Crest Long-Term Care in Minden, Ontario, on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the age of 76.
Heather Elizabeth Kaley was born on November 19, 1949, in Hamilton, Ontario, to Eileen Andrew (Edwardson), CWAC, and Robert Andrew, DFC. As an Air Force “brat,” Heather spent her early years moving across the country. These experiences shaped her resilience, adaptability, and deep appreciation for connection, as well as for the people and places she came to call home along the way.
Heather leaves behind her devoted husband, Robert (Bob) Kaley, who will forever treasure the life they built together over 46 years—especially the simple joy of their drives along the backroads of Muskoka and Georgian Bay. Heather touched the lives of her daughters and stepchildren with her genuine smile, warmth, and gentle nature. As a nana, grandma, great grandma, mother, big sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, she leaves behind many cherished memories that will be treasured always.
Heather had a natural love of numbers, which guided her throughout her career. She retired as Payroll & Benefits Manager from Fowler Construction in Bracebridge, where she was respected not only for her dedication and professionalism, but also for the kindness and care she brought to her work and colleagues. Above all, Heather will be remembered for her gentle spirit, quiet strength, and the compassion she showed so effortlessly. She had a special way of making people feel comfortable, cared for, and truly seen.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Hyland Crest Long-Term Care for the care and kindness they showed Heather.
A private gathering will be held to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations in Heather’s memory may be made to HHHSF-Hyland Crest Residence Council and can be arranged through the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., P.O. Box 427, Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0.
