KAY, Earl Leroy Kay

Earl Leroy Kay, born on August 15, 1941, in Newmarket, Ontario, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, in Huntsville, Ontario. He was a cherished member of his community and a beloved family man whose legacy will continue to shine through the lives he touched.

Earl dedicated much of his life to managing Sifton Horse Farm, later working as a loader operator at Domtar until retirement. In 1977, he moved to Huntsville, where he created many lasting memories. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, ATVing, camping with family, and custom woodworking. He especially loved country jamborees.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret Elinor Kay (née Hayes), Earl leaves behind his daughter Brenda (Vince) Letford, son Blair (Teresa) Kay, grandchildren Caitlynd, Tristan, Shailey, and great-grandchild Aubree. His wisdom, kindness, and love will live on in each of them.

Visitation will be held on June 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Billingsley Funeral Home, 430 Ravenscliffe Road, Huntsville. The funeral service will follow from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM. Interment at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery will take place at 1:00 PM, followed by a gathering at the funeral home from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

Donations in Earl’s memory may be made to the Algonquin Grace Residential Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society.
