March 12, 1940 – October 25, 2024

Carrie Kea passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Pleasant Meadow Manor in Norwood at the age of 84. She was the beloved wife of the late Gordon John Kea and will be lovingly remembered by her children Joe (Elaine), Kevin (Brooke), and Karen Kelly (Ryan). Predeceased by her son David, Carrie was a cherished “Oma” to Becka, Sarah, Casey, Chris, Brodie, Justin, Mac, Lauren, and Gage, and “Great Oma” to Chase, Logan, Skylar, Adelynn, and Kohlson.

Born and raised in Louisburg, Nova Scotia, Carrie had a deep love for east coast traditions, especially kitchen parties, step dancing, and fiddle music. After she and Gord purchased the family dairy farm in 1967, Carrie devoted herself to raising their children and managing the homestead, famously preparing three meals a day for 35 years. The warmth of the sun and beach eventually drew Carrie and Gord to move to Wasaga Beach, where she enjoyed curling, country music, and cheering for contestants on *The Voice* and *American Idol*. She especially delighted in spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Gathering:
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Carrie’s life on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Low & Low Funeral Home, Port Perry Chapel, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry, ON. A private family ceremony will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Pleasant Meadow Manor in Norwood would be appreciated by the family.
