There he developed many lifelong friendships while attending Saint Luke's Elementary School and Pierrefonds Comprehensive High School. Kevin worked at the Bar-B-Barn Rib Restaurant from 1981 to 1986, where he developed his passion for cooking, honed many skills that he would use throughout his life, and made many treasured memories with dear friends.
After 23 years in Montreal, Kevin moved to Vancouver to seek new adventures. Kevin transferred to Winnipeg in January 1988 , to continue his career as a customer service representative. He held several positions within the company and eventually excelled as an outside sales representative. He enjoyed the daily challenges, problem solving, and the long-term relationships he formed with colleagues, customers, and suppliers over the decades. Even after his cancer diagnosis, Kevin continued to provide excellent customer service while receiving chemotherapy .In October 2026, after 40 years of dedicated service, Kevin will posthumously be awarded the Manitoba Print Industries Association's Lifetime Achievement Award.
Kevin enjoyed curling ,golfing , fishing and playing crib throughout his life. He was an avid CFL football fan and supporter of all sports, especially his sons’ many activities. Over their many years together, Kevin and Susan enjoyed entertaining family and friends, hosting many events at their home. Kevin was many things throughout his life – A son. A husband . A father – but what fueled the man behind all these titles was a kind soul who truly cared about the people around him. The world lost a great man but we’ll never lose the lessons he taught us and the ways he enriched the lives of those around him with his wit, wisdom, humility and heart.
Rest in peace, Kevin.
