It is with heavy hearts that we the family of Frank Kovari wish to announce his peaceful passing, after a courageous struggle with illness, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday, March 17th, 2026, at the age of 86. Frank was born in Budapest, Hungary. Frank will be lovingly remembered as a caring father, grandfather, brother and friend. Frank was a dedicated member and usher at St. Mary’s R.C. Church and Life Member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 3212. Over his working years, Frank was a dedicated farmer, mechanic and jack-of-all trades. In 1957, Frank was first employed in a machine shop in Hamilton until 1966. After marriage, he opted to instead farm tobacco alongside his wife Theresa. In 1971, he changed career paths again and joined the team at Eichenberg Chrysler as a mechanic, until retirement in 1997. Frank was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and building in his workshop.

Frank is predeceased by his loving and much-loved wife of 52 years, Theresa (Anderko) Kovari (2016). Lovingly remembered by his sons and their families: Frank (Carol) Kovari, of Tillsonburg and their sons Brent and Derek; Tom Kovari (Pam Gibson), of Tillsonburg and his sons Troyer (Rebekah) Kovari and Travis (Carly) Kovari. Always a proud grandfather to Jackson, Emmett and Logan. Also survived by his sister Martha (Jim) Tipel, in Hungary and remembered by nieces, nephews and cousins.
