Marlene passed away peacefully at Innisfree Hospice in Kitchener, Ontario on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, in her 84th year.

Born Marlene Mabel Edith Whetham on September 23rd, 1941, in Sheffield, Ontario, she was the first daughter of Harvey and Agnes Whetham and one of nine siblings. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of nearly 60 years, John Krebsz.

Loving mother of Wendy (deceased), Robert, and Heidi (Ryan Lambe). Cherished grandmother to Owen (Bronwyn), Amanda, Zachary, Jonathan, Zoe, Cameron, and Jeremy. Dear sister to Glen (Linda), Doreen (Jim, deceased), Brian (Debbie), and Neil (Lynn), and predeceased by siblings John (Pat), Jerry (Judy), Denis, and Brenda (Martin).

Marlene is fondly remembered by her in-laws Konrad and Nancy Krebsz, and by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Sheffield United Church, 1283 Old Hwy 8, Sheffield, ON, on Saturday, June 14th at 1:00 PM. Refreshments to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Innisfree House Hospice in Kitchener, whose staff provided compassionate and exceptional care in her final days.
