Hansi took his last breath and moved on peacefully. He was the beloved husband of Shirley, with whom he shared ten years of love, laughter and memories. Hansi was a proud Papa to Katharina, Benjamin and Tanja. and a proud Opa to Amelie.

Hansi was a man of principle, honesty and integrity. He was loving, kind, generous and sweet. He was a man who went his own way. He was a “Jack of all trades”.

He will be missed and remembered fondly by his lifelong friends.

Special thanks to Hansi’s care team at Sunnybrook Hospital-Odette Cancer Centre and Palliative Care Unit (Dr. Lim-Fat, Dr. Sahgal, Inga and Dr. Ngo and to the countless nurses who made him safe and comfortable).

In keeping with Hansi’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
