LARKIN, Anne Larkin

Today we bid farewell to our mom, (Dorothy) Anne Larkin (née Hird), as she sets off on her final journey.

Anne Larkin passed away peacefully at her residence in Lanark Lodge, Perth, having just reached the rarified age of 99. She lived a full and devoted life—rooted in her faith, her family, and her gardens. Even as dementia slowly closed in around her, she remained herself. A flicker of recognition, a surprised smile, or a soft chuckle reminded us that she was still with us, and a prayer was never far from her lips. She now goes to accept the reward she spent her life working toward.

Anne is predeceased by her parents, James H. Hird and Dorothy V. Hird (née Manchee), her husband Phil Larkin, as well as her brothers Gordon (Joan) and Robert “Bob” (Doris). She is also predeceased by her son John. She is survived by her children Joe (Dale), Margaret (Boyd), Peter (Andrea), Mary, Pat, and Catherine.

We wish her farewell. We will remember her, and we will miss her dearly.
