It is with heavy hearts that the family announces her passing in Sudbury, on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the age of 55 years. Daughter of the late Gerald “Gerry” Bélanger and Liliane “Lily” Hietala (née Cardinal). Loving wife of Gordon “Gord” Leblanc. Cherished mother of Cassandre Short (Tyler Short). Beloved grandmother of Reina. Cherished sister of Lise Mann (late Edgar). Aunt of Chantal and Eric. Great-aunt of Onyx Stamina. Dear sister-in-law of Rochelle Turcotte, Debbie Digby (Rob), Mona Mathieu (late Gerry), Cori Desjardins (Brian) and Tricia Gray (Todd). Daughter-in-law of the late Moise and Shirley (Sharpe) Leblanc. She will be greatly missed by many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Nicole found joy in simple things like reading and playing cards. She was very fond of chocolate, Celine Dion and cheesy hallmark movies/tv shows. A day didn’t go by without Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives streaming on the tv. Nicole’s greatest joy in life was her granddaughter Reina, who always made Nicole smile. Whether it was visiting and playing games, or facetiming from afar. Reina always knew how to make grand-maman’s day
