It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lee Canning, on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the age of 75. Lee was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, patience, and caring heart touched the lives of so many. She was a woman who was always willing to help others and who gave so much of herself to the people she loved.
Lee was the beloved mother of her three children, Andrew MacDonald, Christine Harris, and Richard Harris, and the cherished grandmother of Amy MacDonald, Jacob MacDonald, and Ellie Harris. Her children and grandchildren were, without a doubt, the greatest loves of her life. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for them, and nothing made her happier than simply being together with her family.
She especially adored her grandchildren. Whether they were playing, talking, laughing, or simply spending time together, those moments were precious to her. She found her greatest happiness and contentment in being surrounded by the people she loved.
Lee was the daughter of Fred & Leone Ineson. She leaves behind her beloved sister, Nancy Ineson, and brother, Danny Ineson. Sister to her predeceased brother Steven Ineson.
Lee had a special love for her animals and cared for them with the same gentle and loving heart she showed to her family. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures in life — her family, a good game of euchre, playing cards, and sitting down with a warm cup of tea.
She was a devoted mother, loving, patient, and caring, and her children meant the world to her. She gave them a lifetime of love and will forever be remembered as the kind of mother anyone would cherish.
Lee’s family takes comfort in knowing that she is finally at peace. After all she endured, Parkinson’s can no longer control her. She is free from her struggles, surrounded in spirit by the love of her family, and will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten. Rest peacefully, Mom. We love you more than words could ever say.
The family invites you to join them for a visitation to celebrate Lee’s life on Sunday, September 27, 2026 from 7p.m. to 9p.m. at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street S., Uxbridge (905-852-3073). A private family service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
