LEE, James Lee

He passed away on March 2, 2026 at 8:48 p.m. at the Haliburton Hospital in his 98th year with his friends Janet and Lee by his side. He was predeceased by his wife Helen. James was a very proud Korean War veteran, drove coach buses for many years and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 624 in Wilberforce. James was a long-time resident of Tory Hill, Ontario. After a car accident he moved to the Gardens in Haliburton and then to Extendicare. He will be missed by his many friends

As per James’ wishes, cremation has taken place with a Spring interment. Once a date is set, notification will be made through newspapers and Canoe Radio.

If you wish to make a donation in James’ memory, he was always a dog person. Memorial Donations to Snowflake Meadows Rescue (by cheque only) would be appreciated and can be arranged through the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., P.O. Box 427, Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0.

A huge thank you to the awesome nurses at the Haliburton Hospital for the wonderful care James received while there. A special thank you to Daniel for helping us get through the last stages of James’ life.
