With great sadness, we announce the passing of Jane Lee, who left us peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, on August 8, 2025, at the age of 63, after a courageous battle with glioblastoma (Brain cancer).

Jane will be deeply missed by her devoted husband of nearly 38 years, Barry, and their two daughters, Mary-Kate (Nick) and Colleen (Derek). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Bentley, Joshua, Vera, and Jameson, each of whom shared a truly special bond with their Nana.

Born and raised in Brechin, Jane was the beloved daughter of the late Bob and Beth Gowanlock. She shared a lifelong, cherished relationship with her brother, Doug (Sheryl), and held a special place in the hearts of her extended family and friends.

Jane was known for her infectious laugh, her boundless kindness, and her deep sense of community spirit. Whether spending time with loved ones, helping those in need, or sharing a laugh over drinks, she brought joy and warmth to every room she entered.

Throughout her illness, Jane faced each day with strength, grace, and positivity, inspiring all who knew her. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the compassionate hospital staff, dedicated PSWs, and all the care providers who supported Jane and her family during her journey.

She will be remembered as an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, someone who loved with her whole heart and made life brighter for everyone around her.
