90 Years of Life, Love & Family
Today, our family says goodbye to a truly special man — Leo Gordon Curtis, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
Leo shared an incredible 72 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Betty McBride Curtis. Together, they built a life and a family that became his greatest legacy.
He was the proud father of Delkie (Linda) Curtis, the late Terry (Sandra) Curtis, Wendy (Wayne) Symons, Trevor (Brenda) Curtis, and Nancy (Tony) Bassutti.
He was a proud grandfather to 10 grandsons:
Brandon (Lauren) Symons, Kyle (Amy) Curtis, Stephen (Andrea) Curtis, Dale (Erica) Symons, Bryan (Taylor) Curtis, Anthony (Jenica) Bassutti, Joshua (Kerri) Curtis, Travis (Jessica) Curtis, Cassidy Curtis and Nathan (Jessica) Bassutti
And his family continued to grow, blessing him with 22 great-grandchildren.
He will be lovingly remembered by his in-laws and nieces and nephews.
Ninety years creates a lifetime of memories — but even 90 years never feels like enough when it is someone you love.
Grandpa, you will be deeply missed by so many. Your life will continue through the family you helped create, the stories we will tell, the lessons you taught us and all of the memories we were fortunate enough to share with you.
Although saying goodbye hurts, we find comfort imagining that Terry is waiting for you at the gates of Heaven, fishing pole in hand, ready to take you fishing once again.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Leo’s life on Thursday August 27th from 10:30 am – 11:30 am. With words of remembrance at 11:30 am. at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St., E., Cobourg. Reception to follow after the service. Interment in Cobourg Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ed’s House Hospice.
Until we meet again Grampa.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
Leo Gordon Curtis
